RI opens consulate in Guangzhou
JAKARTA: Indonesia's Consulate in Guangzhou, China officially opened on Thursday marked by the presenting of diplomatic credentials by Consul General Hamdani Djafar to Lin Jian, the consulate director at the Chinese foreign ministry in Guangdon province.
In Beijing, Indonesia's embassy there informed the Chinese government through its ministry for foreign affairs of the official opening of the consulate in Guangzhou.
The consulate will cover four provinces in China: Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, and Guangxi.
The opening of Indonesia's consulate in Guangzhou was based on Presidential Decree No. 118, 2001.
For the time being, the Indonesian Consulate occupies Room No. 2006 of the Asia International Hotel. --Antara
