RI mission to Argentina

BUENOS AIRES (Reuter): A delegation of 35 entrepreneurs from
Indonesia headed by Trade and Industry Minister Tunky Ariwibowo
will visit Buenos Aires this week to explore business
opportunities, Argentina's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

The trade mission was scheduled to arrive Wednesday on a five-
day visit and Tunky will hold talks with President Carlos Menem,
who visited Indonesia last month.

The businessmen, representing car parts, textiles, tourism,
oil, steel, telecommunications, cosmetics and other industries,
also plan to hold a round of talks with Argentine counterparts.

Grain importers will also participate. During Menem's visit
last month the two countries agreed to increase their trade on
grains and seek ways to increase bilateral air links.

Two-way trade between Argentina and Indonesia was US$229
million in 1995, with a $103 surplus for Argentina.
