RI, Malaysia talk about terror

JAKARTA: National Police chief Gen. Da'i Bachtiar and Malaysian Police chief Tan Sri Norian May held an informal meeting on Wednesday to discuss several issues, including international terrorism eradication.

May arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday for an unofficial three- day visit.

Da'i told reporters Wednesday that they discussed the investigation of several Malaysian members of the Jamaah Islamiyah group and their alleged involvement in the Bali bomb attacks in October 2002, which killed 202 people.

Police are still searching for Malaysian Dr. Azahari, a key suspect in the bombing. -- JP
