RI maid's fecal matter abuser flees
MALAYSIA: A Malaysian woman who allegedly forced her Indonesian
maid to eat fecal matter and drink out of a toilet bowl has gone
into hiding, police said on Tuesday.
Police went to the home of the 27-year-old woman after her
maid lodged a report on Sunday claiming that she was punched in
the eye and forced to eat out of the toilet bowl.
However, the woman and her family had fled the home in the
northeastern Kelantan state, said the head of the criminal
investigation department, Ishak Abdul Majid.
"When police arrived, there was no one at home and the nearest
neighbors also have no idea where the family went," he was quoted
as saying by the official Bernama agency.
The 25-year-old maid claimed that her employer had also
smeared her body with feces during Sunday's incident.
Ishak said police would try to locate the family, adding that
while the maid did not sustain serious injuries, she was
traumatized by the attack.
The incident was announced on the day of a trial against
another Malaysian employer who had allegedly burnt, beaten and
scalded her Indonesian maid in May this year. --DPA
