RI maid falls from S'pore flat, survives
SINGAPORE: An Indonesian maid believed to be cleaning windows in a Singapore flat fell three storeys and survived, news reports said on Friday.
The 26-year-old woman was in stable condition at the National University Hospital.
She had clung to a louvre after she fell on Thursday, but lost her grip and tumbled down, hitting a concrete parapet on the second floor, The Straits Times said.
A neighbor who ran to help the maid said blood was oozing from her nose and ears, her arm appeared to be broken and she was badly cut. The maid had been with the family for only a few months.
An elderly woman was reportedly in the flat with her two grandsons at the time of the incident. --DPA
