RI hosts Switzerland in Davis Cup tie
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia will take the advantage of hosting Switzerland in their qualifying round for the 1995 Davis Cup World Group during a five-tie match scheduled for Sept. 23-25.
Indonesia, which won a ticket to the World Group qualifying round after beating South Korea 3-2 at home in their Asia Oceania Group 2 matches last May, will likely rely on the hot climate against Switzerland, which will be led by big-serving world number 19 Marc Rosset.
New Zealand, another Asia Oceania Zone representative, gets the privilege of choosing the venue for its World Group qualifying round matches against Australia. Winners of the two- day tier will enter the World Group which fields 16 of the world's best tennis playing countries.
