RI holds border talks with PNG
JAKARTA: An Indonesia and Papua New Guinea (PNG) border committee will hold talks in Surabaya, East Java, on Tuesday to discuss border issues between the neighboring countries.
The PNG delegation will be led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Rabbie Namaliu, who recently attended the Southwest Pacific dialog in Yogyakarta over the weekend.
"The joint border committee will discuss all border issues, including the people's movement from Papua to PNG and vice versa," Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirayuda said on Monday.
PNG shares the border with the province of Papua, formerly known as Irian Jaya. -- JP
