JAKARTA (JP): Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Finance,
and Industry Kwik Kian Gie said on Wednesday that Indonesia's
foreign debts as of March 31 totaled US$144.24 billion.

He said $75.04 billion of the total were the government's

Indonesia booked a cumulative current account surplus of $10.3
billion between July 1997 and March 2000, and during the same
period net capital outflow was $12.6 billion, the minister said
in a statement.

In the same period, the government received $28.4 billion in
loans from international creditors, including the International

Indonesia.

The government repaid $8.9 billion of its offshore debt during
the same period, according to the minister's statement. (10)
