RI firms join Austrian expo
JAKARTA (JP): Twelve Indonesian companies participated in a trade exhibition in Wina, Austria, last week, displaying about 50 kinds of export commodities, an Indonesian diplomat said over the weekend.
Max Pangeman of the Indonesian embassy in Austria, said that the 12 companies included PT Hadinata Brothers, Indonesian Originals/PT Prolindo Original Perkasa, PT Bukit Perak, PT Demico Internusa, PT Aneka Tusma/Prima Decor, CV. Cheeta, PT Pelangi Estirona Indonesia, Kin Furniture, PT Penjalindo Nusantara and PT Trikusuma.
The commodities displayed at the two-day exhibition on Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 included rattan and wooden furniture, accessories, shoes, textiles and related products, leather goods and handicrafts, Antara reported.
Some 150 representatives of businesses from Austria, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Slovenia attended the exhibition launched by the National Agency for Export Development.
Last year, trade between Indonesia and Austria balanced at US$300 million (Rp 717.3 billion) in favor of Austria. (02)
