RI condemns Delhi bombings
INDONESIA: Indonesia condemned on Monday the bombings in New
Delhi that killed 61 people and said the attacks underscored the
danger posed by terrorism.
"We cannot justify terrorism under any pretext," said foreign
ministry spokesman Yuri Thamrin. "As a country which has been a
victim of terrorism, we are fully aware of the danger of the use
of violence against people whom according to international laws
should not be targets of attacks."
Yuri reaffirmed Indonesia's determination to take part in an
international effort to fight terrorism. Indonesia has been hit
by a series of deadly attacks blamed on Islamic militants in
recent years. -- AFP
