RI archers to enter Asian meet

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian trio of women who won the bronze
medal in the world championships last year will spearhead their
team in the Asian Championships in Bangkok, Thailand on Feb. 24.

D. E. Rahantoknam, secretary general of the association, said
that the event would serve as a warm-up for Nurfitriyana, Hamdiah
and Dahliana before entering the Olympic Games in Atlanta this
July.

Rahantoknam said that the association will name eight archers,
four women and four men, to the championships in a bid to win
more Olympic tickets.

The national women's trio will also compete in another Olympic
tryout in the Atlanta Grand Prix in April and the German
Championships in May. (05)
