RHB Sekuritas Sees IPO Prospects Amid Global Pressures
The Indonesian stock market is facing challenges in boosting investor confidence, according to Michael W. Setjoadi, Director of RHB Sekuritas Indonesia. The market has experienced a 31% decline year-to-date, coupled with a weakening Rupiah exchange rate. Setjoadi noted that the market is closely watching the government’s fiscal policy direction, and a positive response could trigger a return of capital inflows. Amid this volatility, the market is preparing to welcome six new issuers scheduled for initial public offerings (IPOs) in July 2026. RHB Sekuritas itself is handling one to two issuers planning to go public in the mining sector, which is considered one of the more promising sectors at present.
