Revitalisation, AMPG Targets 2 Million Young Golkar Cadres Through New Leadership

Jakarta, VIVA – The General Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Golkar Party’s Youth Wing (PP AMPG), Said Aldi, handed over the Decree (SK) of the AMPG Central Board to Ubaidillah as Secretary General of PP AMPG for the 2024–2029 period, following the revitalisation at the National Awakening Day moment. In the new leadership structure, Ubaidillah was elected to replace M. Ikhsan Nurjamil. The revitalisation of the leadership is a continuation of the result of the AMPG PP plenary meeting on 14 January 2026, which entrusted the General Chairman of PP AMPG to undertake evaluation and revitalisation of the 2024–2029 leadership. The General Chairman of PP AMPG, Said Aldi, emphasised that the revitalisation is undertaken as part of strengthening the organisation so that it becomes more adaptive, solid, and capable of meeting youth challenges and the dynamics of politics ahead. “Revitalisation is part of the organisation’s consolidation to strengthen AMPG’s role as a forum for Golkar’s young cadres who are active, progressive, and responsive to the needs of the people,” Said Aldi said in a statement on Thursday, 21 May 2026. The handover of the SK also marks a moment to strengthen the organisational structure in support of AMPG’s work programme going forward, including expanding the consolidation of Golkar’s young cadres across Indonesia. Driven by the spirit of revitalisation, PP AMPG is expected to become more solid and be able to produce a new generation of youths with a spirit of service to the community, the nation, and the country, while reinforcing AMPG’s position as a strategic youth wing within Golkar. Furthermore, the General Chairman of PP AMPG tasked the Secretary General, the Deputy Chairman, and all levels of the organisation with implementing the main programme of the organisation, namely an organisational audit from the central level down to the village level. The programme aims to strengthen governance, ensure that the consolidation runs optimally, and enhance the effectiveness of the cadres’ movement across Indonesia in order to recruit 2 million young cadres in line with the mandate from the General Chairman of the DPP Partai Golkar, Bahlil Lahadalia. PP AMPG will also implement comprehensive training for cadres across various regions in Indonesia as part of an effort to build Golkar’s youthful cadres who are solid, of high quality, and possess leadership capacity and a commitment to service to the community, the nation, and the state.
