Revision of Natural Resource Export Proceeds Regulation to be Released Soon, Forex Liquidity in Focus

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has stated that the revision to the Devisa Hasil Ekspor Sumber Daya Alam (DHE SDA) regulation will be issued shortly. The process is now at the Ministry of State Secretariat. “DHE SDA is already at the State Secretary’s Office. It will be released soon, not long,” he said during a press conference in Jakarta on Friday (24/4/2026). The revision includes several exemption schemes. Purbaya did not detail the specifics or the number. He asked the public to wait for the official regulation to be issued. “The sectors remain the same. Still natural resources,” Purbaya explained. This step is directed towards strengthening foreign exchange liquidity domestically. The government also targets an increase in foreign exchange reserves and maintaining rupiah exchange rate stability amid global dynamics. The Ministry of Finance’s Domestic Foreign Exchange Liquidity Strengthening Policy Strategy document outlines the new policy direction. Exporters are required to place DHE in foreign currency form in domestic banking, especially banks that are members of the State-Owned Banks Association or Himbara. This policy provides flexibility for business actors while safeguarding the foreign exchange supply domestically.
