Customer satisfaction a priority at Harmoni Optical
Harmoni Optical is among the few optics stores that has
managed to maintain the loyalty and trust of its customers,
thanks to its consistent commitment to providing the best service
to customers of different nationalities.
With customer satisfaction a top priority, Harmoni Optical
pays attention to detail, starting from the products it provides,
eye care equipment, expertise and personalized service, to after-
sales services.
Accessories such as frames, contact lenses, lenses and
sunglasses of different brands are all imported, with shape and
color designed to meet expatriates' needs. They include rigid,
gas-permeable or extended-wear hard contact lenses, well
recognized for their ability to correct astigmatism and ideal for
dry eyes.
It also provides a wide variety of 'HOYA' lenses; the products
of highly sophisticated technology made in Japan. With the
advancements of its technology, HOYA is world-widely reputable
for its perfect multi-coats and designs. One of its high-tech
features is found in its high-index progressive lenses with
friendly design for far, medium and short distances.
Harmoni also offers a delivery service for domestic and
overseas customers, thanks to customer trust.
Owned by M. Rachmat, Harmoni Optical opened its first outlet
in Kemchicks supermarket, Kemang, South Jakarta, in 1986 before
moving to HOTEL KEMANG in 1998. The company opened its second
outlet in COSMO Japanese Supermarket, Wijaya Grand Center F 20,
Jl. Wijaya Center, Jakarta, in the same year.
Rachmat worked at Paris Miki, one of the large optics
companies in Japan, for five years and at Paris Miki Branch in
Singapore for eight years. He speaks English and Japanese
language fluently.
As part of its efforts to provide good services, Harmoni
Optical is slated to have a Mid-Year Sale, with discounts of up
to 50 percent on selected items. The program will commence on
June 14 and run through June 29, 2003.
Many expatriate customers of Harmoni Optical have told of
their satisfaction with the company's eyewear items and services.
Mr. and Mrs. Nick Fenton from Great Britain, for instance, have
been particularly impressed with the company's personalized and
after sales service. "Many years ago, when I first started using
Harmoni, I remember ordering a pair of glasses just before going
off on holiday - in fact too close to our departure date. Ever
keen to satisfy his customers, Rachmat promised to send them to
me in the UK. True to his word, a few days into the holiday, I
received an email saying the glasses were on the way. No extra
charge for delivery!"
"Another time that sticks in my memory was in the early days
of 1998 when the Rupiah had plummeted in a matter of days and
weeks. Rachmat told us that he was having to sell his stock of
frames at prices way below the cost of replacement - knowing he
would make a loss but unable to do anything about it. This did
not stop him greeting my wife and I with his usual smile and
giving us the normal excellent service."
Mr. Kenji ITO, a Japanese nationality, said, "When I needed a
pair of prescriptions glasses, I was wondering if there was an
optic store in Jakarta, where I could consult with in my own
language. Luckily, my friend told me about Harmoni Optical.
"I had no idea that I would meet Rachmat who speaks Japanese
fluently and understand what Japanese need when it comes to
glasses. And I am pleased to get a pair of glasses that suits me
fine," he said.
With 30 years of experience in optical line, Rachmat has
become accustomed to handling eyewear-related matters. His
outlets in HOTEl KEMANG and COSMO are at just the right place for
customers of different nationalities to obtain better optical
services.
