Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto has reminded all participants of the Computer-Based Written Exam-National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT) to avoid various methods of cheating during the examination process. He made this statement while directly inspecting the implementation of UTBK-SNBT at Tanjungpura University (Untan) in Pontianak on Friday (24/4). “We continuously remind that any method of cheating will definitely be detected by the committee. The offence will be processed according to legal provisions. So, to the prospective students, please take the exam properly and trust in your own abilities,” he said in a statement in Jakarta. Mendiktisaintek emphasised that his side is committed to maintaining the integrity of the entire SNBT process. Enforcing these rules is important to ensure fairness for all participants. He also mentioned that the implementation of UTBK on the fourth day at Untan ran smoothly with an increasingly tight supervision system, enabling the prevention of cheating. “On the fourth day, alhamdulillah, it has certainly gone very smoothly compared to the first day, and from various experiences, the committee has anticipated all potential cheating,” he said. After directly observing the UTBK implementation, Mendiktisaintek also reviewed the waste management system and the Impact Dormitory Programme at Untan. He expressed appreciation for the campus management, particularly in developing an integrated waste management programme and student entrepreneurship through the Impact Dormitory. Through this programme, he continued, Untan not only focuses on academics but also builds practical skills for students, especially in entrepreneurship and economic independence. “We just visited the melon plantation and chicken farm; the report also mentioned that the profits are quite good. We certainly hope this can continue to be developed so that Untan not only develops knowledge on campus but also directly provides solutions for handling food self-sufficiency,” said Mendiktisaintek Brian Yuliarto.
