Reviewing SPMB Implementation in Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi Praises Officer and Teacher Performance
Based on monitoring, the implementation has so far proceeded smoothly without significant obstacles. The average issues faced by prospective students and parents or guardians were related to the application. However, these issues were immediately resolved with assistance from officers. “Mostly they couldn’t operate the application regarding data uploads and so on, but we have helped them all,” said Luthfi in a written statement on Saturday (13/6/2026). He also appreciated the performance of SPMB officers who provided excellent service to the public. Even on Saturday, officers continued to monitor the SPMB system. As seen at SMAN 3 Semarang, Luthfi observed teachers remaining on standby at the school to serve the community regarding SPMB. “This is one form of our service, so that children registering for high school can choose and sort. They are assets for the province in the future,” said Luthfi. In the 2026 SPMB implementation, Luthfi reiterated the tagline ‘No Titip-titip, No Jastip’. Thus, the 2026 SPMB process is carried out with integrity. He emphasised that all SPMB officers will act professionally so that all prospective students receive equal opportunities. For this student admission, both the pathways and quotas have been set from the outset. The pathways and quotas for State Senior High Schools include 33% domicile, 32% affirmation, 30% achievement, and 5% mutation. Meanwhile, for State Vocational High Schools, it is 75% achievement, 15% affirmation, and 5% domicile. “Trust us, we can recruit students professionally, according to regulations, and without violating the law. Provide clear explanations to all parents/guardians so there are no complaints. This 2026 SPMB must be better than last year,” said Luthfi. Meanwhile, Head of the Central Java Education Office Sadimin explained that the SPMB for the 2026/2027 academic year has undergone system strengthening by collaborating with the Central Java Communication, Informatics, and Digital Office (Diskomdigi) and the technology company Alibaba. Sadimin revealed that the system strengthening aims to prevent the risk of network drops by using a cloud server with auto scaling technology. This technology allows server capacity to increase automatically, following the surge in the number of registrants. Additionally, the Central Java Provincial Government has also prepared a multi-zone backup system. If one data centre experiences disruption, the backup system in another location will immediately take over, so the registration process does not halt. In terms of security, Sadimin assured that prospective students’ personal data is protected from the risk of leaks or cyber attacks. The security system is strengthened with cloud-based verification and protection technology. “We guarantee full protection of students’ personal data, from the risk of data leaks or cyber attacks,” he concluded.
