Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), Irjen Pol. Agus Suryonugroho, assured that traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II South Toll Road section is under control following a direct inspection of the toll road. “We are at the end of the functional toll in Setu, and for now, it is quite under control. Both the crossing that meets the arterial road, this is quite under control,” Agus said in Bekasi, West Java, on Friday. He stated that the Japek II South toll is one of the highly strategic functional toll roads for diverting traffic from West Java to Jakarta. “So, for non-bus private vehicles, they go through Sadang to Setu,” he added. Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, said that the Japek II South toll has been traversed by nearly 49,000 vehicles. “This means from these 49,000, the average is 6,000 vehicles, except on H+3 (Eid al-Fitr homecoming period) reaching 16,000,” he stated. He explained that the functional toll road is very helpful in alleviating vehicle density at the meeting point at KM 66. “This is the end where we built the ramp to anticipate exiting from Japek II South to the national road. Only 20 metres, and one can directly enter the toll gate towards JORR 2, so the public can choose whether to go to Cimanggis or to Bekasi,” he said.
