Reviewing Red White Village Cooperative in Banggai, Village Minister Clarifies Village Fund Issues

That was stated by Yandri during his review of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (Kopdes) Bubung in Luwuk Selatan Subdistrict, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, today.

“So (village funds) are not taken by the centre. President Prabowo or the Village Minister never takes village funds, no. But the management is changed, business units are created whose function is to eliminate moneylenders, abolish middlemen, become off-takers, distribute fertiliser, gas, and so on,” Yandri explained in his statement on Monday (12/4/2026).

“So this (Kopdes) is a noble programme, so if anyone says village funds are cut by the centre, no. The management is made more massive, more numerous, and more measurable,” he continued.

Furthermore, Yandri conveyed that the presence of KDMP in all villages with various business units within them will drive economic equity. This step also serves as an effort to realise President Prabowo Subianto’s sixth Asta Cita, namely building from the village and from the bottom to alleviate poverty.

According to him, economic equity needs to be carried out so that disparities do not occur. He assessed that Kopdes is the right tool for achieving economic equity.

For this reason, he proposed a moratorium or first stopping new permits for other modern retail because their function will be replaced by Kopdes Merah Putih.

Yandri also invited all village communities to actively participate and succeed Kopdes Merah Putih. According to him, if Kopdes succeeds, 80 percent of the remaining business profits will return to cooperative members, namely the village community. In addition, 20 percent of KDMP profits will also enter as original village income.

“This is the difference with Alfamart, Indomart or other modern retail, if Alfamart, Indomart the profits are all taken by the owners, but if Kopdes initiated by Father President Prabowo one hundred percent (profits) for the people in that village,” he explained.

Yandri is also optimistic that KDMP in Banggai Regency, Banggai Islands Regency, and East Banggai Regency will succeed and become a tool for economic equity and poverty eradication.

For information, KDMP Bubung has business units divided into eight outlets, such as grocery outlets, agriculture, LPG depot, clinic, pharmacy, buying and selling of agricultural produce, savings and loans, as well as BRIlink agents.
