Reviewing Ngurah Rai Airport, Minister of Communication and Digital Ensures Safe Eid Travel Telecommunications
Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid has ensured that telecommunications and internet services during the 2026 Eid travel will run smoothly. This was stated during an inspection of the Integrated Post at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Tuesday (24/3). She explained that the national network quality is in very good condition and well-maintained. The national average download speed reaches 95 Mbps, while the upload speed reaches 42 Mbps. “Specifically for Bali, the average is 105 Mbps, so above the national average. At Ngurah Rai Airport itself, the speed is above 200 Mbps, even up to 250 Mbps. Thank you to the operator friends who have worked to maintain good connectivity,” she said in a written statement on Tuesday (24/3/2026). In addition to mobile networks, the Ministry of Communication and Digital is also monitoring flight frequency security. Meutya emphasised that frequency interference is very minimal, namely under 30 seconds, so it is considered safe and does not endanger the surge in flight frequencies during the Eid travel season. This supervision will continue until 29 March. To maintain smooth public communication, the Ministry of Communication and Digital, together with mobile operators, has prepared around 500 posts throughout Indonesia. These posts are considered effective in handling field dynamics, including during traffic congestion on 19 March, coinciding with the Pengerupukan moment close to the Eid holiday. The Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Agency (Balmon SFR) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital, together with operators, promptly addressed those obstacles, with more than 90% of incoming complaints handled.
