Revealed: Woman Killed in Bogor and Suspect Were Friends

The murder case of a woman identified as AAA (25), found lying on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar in Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City, is beginning to yield results. Police revealed that the suspect, who has now been arrested, was friends with the victim.

AKP Aji Lesmana, head of Bogor City Police’s Criminal Investigation Department, stated that the relationship between the victim and suspect was established through preliminary investigations.

“They were friends,” said AKP Aji Lesmana.

However, police have not disclosed further details on how long the two had known each other or the background of their relationship. Investigators are currently probing the motive behind the killing.

“We will comprehensively explain the motive later as investigations are ongoing, possibly by Monday,” said Aji.

The suspect was apprehended just three hours after the incident. At the time, he allegedly attempted to flee to Garut by car.

“Yes, the suspect was apprehended three hours after the incident,” he said.

During his escape, the suspect’s car crashed and overturned on the Cisumdawu Toll Road. Footage of the accident reportedly circulated on social media.

“At the Cisumdawu Toll Road. The suspect was trying to flee towards Garut,” Aji explained.

Police have also seized evidence allegedly used by the suspect during the murder. The suspect has confessed to the crime, according to investigators.

“The suspect has admitted to committing the murder. Evidence from the suspect has also been secured,” he said.

“All items used in the act have been secured,” Aji added.

The victim was found unconscious on the side of Jalan Sholeh Iskandar in the early hours of Saturday, 23 May 2026.

She was treated at a hospital but later died. Police are continuing to investigate the full timeline and motive behind the murder.
