Revealed: The Reason Febrie Adriansyah Chose to Resign as Jampidsus
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has provided an explanation regarding the reason behind Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation from his position as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). The Adhyaksa Corps stated that the move was taken as a form of commitment to maintaining integrity, objectivity, and neutrality amidst a legal process currently being handled by National Police investigators.
Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum), Anang Supriatna, said the decision was a stance taken by Febrie so that the law enforcement process could continue without creating negative perceptions among the public. "The decision is a form of commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the law enforcement process in line with the legal process being carried out by investigators of the Indonesian National Police," Anang said in an official statement on Saturday, 11 July 2026.
Anang emphasised that the Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures that the organisational machinery within the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes continues to function as it should. According to him, Febrie’s resignation will not affect the execution of duties or the handling of various cases currently managed by Jampidsus.
"The Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures that all duties, functions, and case handling within the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes can run normally and in accordance with applicable mechanisms," he stated. He also urged the public to continue respecting the ongoing legal process and to uphold the principle of presumption of innocence. "The Attorney General’s Office invites all parties to respect the ongoing legal process and continue to uphold the principle of presumption of innocence," Anang said.
It was previously reported that Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had accepted Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation from his position as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). The news was conveyed by the Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, through a written statement on Saturday, 11 July 2026. "Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia ST Burhanuddin has accepted Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation from his position as Jampidsus," Anang said.
