Revealed! The PDIP Politician Detained by KPK is the Regent of Tulungagung's Brother
Tulungagung, East Java (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained PDI Perjuangan politician Jatmiko Dwi Seputro in a hand-catching operation (OTT) related to a case implicating Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo. Jatmiko, who is the biological brother of Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo, has been taken to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta along with several other parties. Chair of the PDI Perjuangan Tulungagung District Executive Board Erma Susanti, when confirmed by the media on Saturday, confirmed that a party cadre had been detained by KPK investigators. “Yes, for now we respect and monitor the process at the KPK,” Erma said when confirmed via telephone. However, Jatmiko’s role in the case construct is not yet known for certain. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed that among the 13 people taken to Jakarta, there is one party outside the Tulungagung Regency Government environment. “The thirteen people taken to Jakarta consist of the regent, 11 people from the Tulungagung Regency Government environment, and one other party,” Budi said. “Currently, the process of determining the status of the parties taken to the KPK is still ongoing. The party’s stance is to wait and respect the running process,” he stated. Previously, the KPK conducted an OTT against Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo on Friday (10/4) afternoon and secured alleged bribe money worth hundreds of millions of rupiah. Following the arrest, KPK investigators examined 18 people, mostly officials from regional device organisations (OPD) in the Tulungagung Regency Government environment. The examinations were conducted at the Tulungagung Police Resort Police Headquarters from Friday night until Saturday morning. Twelve people were then taken to Jakarta by bus via Juanda Airport.
