Revealed! The List of Prabowo's Programmes to Achieve 7.5% Growth in 2027
The administration of President Prabowo Subianto is preparing the government work plan (RKP) for 2027 to pursue Indonesia’s economic growth target of 7.5% year-on-year, in line with the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). This target is significantly higher than the 6.3% year-on-year goal for 2026 and sets the direction to maintain high growth trends at 7.7% in 2028 and continuing to 8% in 2029, in accordance with President Prabowo’s vision. Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy stated that this growth target will be realised through eight clusters of National Priority Work Programmes (PKPN), accompanied by support from all regions. “We need to grow, and this growth is not only in Jakarta but in every region, and in our notes, national growth from 5.9% to 7.5% cannot be achieved without regional support,” Rachmat said during the 2026 Rakorbangpus event in the Context of Preparing the 2027 RKP, in Jakarta on Thursday (7/5/2026). Rachmat assured that all priority programmes will be implemented throughout 2027 within three major government focus themes: promoting productivity, investment, and industry. They will also be divided according to the strengths of each region across the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). He also emphasised that financing for the priority programmes will not only be met through the state budget (APBN) but will involve non-APBN financing with synergies from all stakeholders. “In fact, non-APBN financing, including Danantara investments, must be actively encouraged so that our development capacity is not limited to fiscal matters alone,” Rachmat stated.
