Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The density of Jabodebek LRT passengers during the morning rush remains concentrated at several feeder stations towards Jakarta’s central business district. One of the busiest is Harjamukti Station, the preferred departure point for workers each morning. Public Relations Manager for the Jabodebek LRT, Radhitya Mardika, revealed that the average daily ridership during January–April 2026 occurred between 06:00 and 09:00 WIB. In the peak period, Harjamukti Station recorded an average of 6,224 users per day. The figure is far higher than other stations such as Cikoko with 3,432 users per day, Cikunir 1 with 3,274, Jatimulya 2,786, and Jatibening Baru 2,638 per day. Meanwhile, the majority of passengers travel towards Jakarta’s office district. Kuningan Station becomes the busiest destination with an average of 8,976 users per day. It is followed by Pancoran 7,166 users, Dukuh Atas 6,587 users, Rasuna Said 4,611 users, and Setiabudi 4,532 per day. The surge in passengers, according to Radhitya, is most noticeable in the 06:00-07:30 WIB window dominated by workers heading to Jakarta. “The number of users shows that the Jabodebek LRT has become a choice for daily mobility that is more practical, comfortable, and integrated toward the activity hubs in Jakarta,” he said in a statement, quoted Thursday (21 May 2026). To anticipate the surge of passengers during the busy morning hours, the Jabodebek LRT continues to operate trips optimally. On weekdays, KAI operates 430 trips per day with headways adjusted during peak hours. On the Jatimulya–Dukuh Atas route, the first departure starts at 05:12 WIB. By 09:00 WIB there are 28 trips with headways around 8-9 minutes. Meanwhile on the Harjamukti–Dukuh Atas route, the first departure starts at 05:18 WIB with a total of 27 trips by 09:00 and headways around 8-9 minutes. “To avoid crowding during the busy morning hours, the public can adjust their departure times to keep the journey comfortable, especially during the period of highest mobility,” he said.
