Revealed! Role of Former Brimob Officer Bripka Dedy in Samarinda Drug Den as 'Sniper' Monitoring Police Arrival
A former member of the East Kalimantan Regional Police Brimob unit, Bripka Dedy Wiratama, has arrived at the Bareskrim Polri building to undergo interrogation regarding the drug-den case in Gang Langgar, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The individual, who has previously been subject to dishonourable discharge (PTDH), arrived under the escort of investigators from the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes of Bareskrim Polri on Friday afternoon, 5 June 2026.
Bripka Dedy was seen wearing a blue floral-patterned shirt, with his thumbs handcuffed as he entered the Bareskrim building. The former Brimob personnel offered little response; when approached by the media, he merely nodded without providing any statements regarding the case currently implicating him.
The interrogation follows suspicions from Bareskrim that Bripka Dedy was not merely aware of the drug trafficking activities in Gang Langgar, but actively participated in the security system of the drug den. The Head of Unit III, Sub-directorate IV of the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes of Bareskrim Polri, Police Commissioner Drago, confirmed that Bripka Dedy has been detained and is now a suspect.
