The Indonesian National Police (Polri) have revealed that the relationship between former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro and Aipda Dianita Agustina — the policewoman at whose home a suitcase filled with narcotics was discovered — was purely professional.

Polri’s Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that based on preliminary investigations, Didik was formerly Dianita’s superior officer.

“As far as we know, the officer previously served as his staff member during an earlier assignment,” Isir said when contacted on Tuesday (17 February).

Isir added that investigators had not yet found any other connection between the two, including any suggestion of a romantic relationship.

“So far, the findings indicate it was strictly a superior-subordinate relationship,” he said.

Separately, the Head of Sub-Directorate III at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency’s (Bareskrim) Narcotics Directorate, Commissioner Zulkarnain Harahap, also confirmed that the relationship between Didik and Dianita was limited to that of a commanding officer and staff member.

“That is correct — it was strictly a superior-subordinate relationship,” he said.

Zulkarnain noted that Dianita is still undergoing further examination at Bareskrim in connection with the case.

Former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra has been named a suspect in drug distribution. He was formally designated as a suspect following a case review on Friday (13 February).

“The case review concluded that the investigation against AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro would proceed,” said the Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, in a written statement on Friday.

Eko Hadi stated that the case review found Didik culpable for ownership of a white suitcase containing narcotics discovered at Aipda Dianita’s residence in Tangerang, Banten.

The drug evidence recovered included 16.3 grammes of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy tablets and 2 partially consumed tablets (23.5 grammes), 19 Alprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets, and 5 grammes of ketamine.

In this case, Didik has been charged under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter (a) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 on criminal sentencing adjustments, and Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances, in conjunction with Appendix 1 item number 9 of Law No. 1 of 2026.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Zulkarnain Harahap disclosed that Didik also tested positive for narcotics based on a hair follicle drug test conducted at a laboratory.

“When we initially tested him, he came back negative. He, his wife, and the policewoman all tested negative. However, the Professional and Security Division (Propam) subsequently conducted hair testing, and the result was positive,” he said.
