Revealed: Prudential and Malaysia's EPF Hold 1% Stake in Antam (ANTM)
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The state-owned mining holding MIND ID remains the majority shareholder of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM). However, shares of the gold mining issuer are also included in the investment portfolios of foreign insurance companies and pension funds.
This was revealed in the list of share ownership above 1% from the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) as of 30 April 2026.
In the data, the insurance company PT Prudential Life Assurance is recorded as holding 249.47 million ANTM shares. This figure equates to 1.04% ownership of the outstanding shares.
In addition to Prudential, ANTM shares are also owned by a Malaysian pension fund institution, namely the Employees Provident Fund Board. The institution is recorded as holding 344.61 million ANTM shares or equivalent to 1.43% ownership.
Meanwhile, the majority shareholder of ANTM is still occupied by PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero) or MIND ID. The state-owned mining holding is recorded as owning 15.61 billion ANTM shares or equivalent to 65% ownership of the company.
In terms of performance, in the first quarter of 2026, ANTM recorded a 58% year-on-year profit growth to Rp3.66 trillion. In line with this increase, ANTM also booked a 55% EBITDA growth to Rp5.05 trillion, compared to Rp3.26 trillion in the first quarter of 2025.
ANTM’s performance was also supported by a 15% increase in other income to Rp279.60 billion. This performance improvement also drove an increase in basic net profit per share to Rp141.77 per basic share, or a 60% increase compared to Rp88.69 per basic share in the same quarter last year.
In line with that, ANTM shares are currently trading in the red zone with a 3.09% contraction to Rp3,760 as of 14:25 WIB today, Friday (8/5/2026). Its market capitalisation reaches Rp90.12 trillion.
