Revealed! Identity of Hercules Aircraft Shooter in Yahukimo, Cartenz Peace Task Force Provides Explanation
The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2026 has successfully uncovered the identities and specific roles of several members of an armed criminal group (KKB) involved in various terrorist acts in Yahukimo District, Highland Papua.
One of the main findings is the involvement of Meno Kogoya in the shooting of a Hercules aircraft at Nop Goliat Dekai Airport in January 2026.
This revelation is the result of intensive investigation development against several armed group members who were secured by joint authorities in the past week.
“We have successfully identified new names and specific roles of perpetrators in various violent acts from 2023 to early 2026,” said Kombes Yusuf Sutejo, Spokesman and Commander of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2026, in an official statement on Monday (2 March).
Based on evidence collected, authorities revealed four main names who instigated a series of armed violence in the Yahukimo region.
Beyond physical operations in the field, authorities are now scrutinising the activities of a political criminal group that frequently uses social media to spread narratives of violence. Deputy Commander of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2026, Kombes Adarma Sinaga, stressed that the cyber team is conducting in-depth profiling.
“This group documents their actions to spread fear. We will take firm legal action against those involved in these narratives,” Adarma explained.
Commander of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2026, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, ensured that law enforcement will continue to be carried out professionally and based on evidence to provide security for the people of Yahukimo.
“We are committed to resolving every case of violence. Law enforcement is conducted in a measured manner to ensure stability and security in the Highland Papua region remains conducive,” said Faizal.
Currently, patrols at vulnerable points around Yahukimo are being increased to prevent escalation of follow-up violence from the armed criminal group.
