Revealed: How a Music Concert Led to a Three-Year Confinement Case in Bandung

The case of confinement and abuse against a woman from Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, West Java, continues to draw public attention. Behind the uncovering of the case that saw the victim suffer for three years, new facts about the initial meeting between the victim and the perpetrator have come to light. The victim, identified by the initials YTT, reportedly first became acquainted with the perpetrator, identified as TH, while attending a music concert in the Tritan Point area of Bandung in 2023. That meeting marked the beginning of a relationship which ultimately led to the victim’s disappearance for three years until she was finally found in a deplorable condition. This information was conveyed by the victim’s younger sibling, Syahrul Ulum, who recounted the chronology of his sister’s initial introduction to the perpetrator before she vanished without a trace. According to Syahrul, the meeting between YTT and TH occurred when both attended a music concert event at Tritan Point in 2023. At that time, their relationship was known to be quite close. In fact, the victim had even introduced the perpetrator to her family. ‘Initially, they got acquainted during a Tritan Point music concert event in Bandung,’ Syahrul revealed. After that meeting, the victim was known to have brought the perpetrator to her parents’ home. However, not long afterwards, the victim disappeared with the perpetrator and her whereabouts were no longer known. The family lost contact with the victim for years until YTT was eventually found with severe injuries resulting from suspected confinement and torture. The case began to unravel after the victim was found and had to undergo medical treatment for a number of serious injuries she sustained. During the three years she was missing, the family did not know the victim’s exact whereabouts. They also did not know the conditions YTT experienced while with the perpetrator. The discovery of the victim in a severely injured state then opened up suspicions that she had been confined and subjected to various forms of abuse. The incident immediately shocked the family and the community because the victim was known to have been missing without a trace for a long time. The alleged confinement took place in a rented room leased by the perpetrator TH in the Bandung Regency area.
