Returning Home with a Hybrid Vehicle: Don't Just Pick Any Tyres

Jakarta – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) predicts that population movement during the 2026 Eid exodus will reach 143.91 million people. Of this total, private vehicle users will continue to dominate, at approximately 76.24 million people or 52.98 per cent.

Travelling home using a private vehicle is indeed the preferred option, especially as many new models in the hybrid segment are now offering high fuel efficiency.

However, preparation must not be taken lightly. In addition to conducting comprehensive vehicle checks such as the engine, electrical systems, and braking system, tyre condition must also be given careful attention.

In this regard, PT Bridgestone Tire Indonesia (Bridgestone Indonesia) is reminding motor vehicle users to pay attention to tyre condition before undertaking the 2026 Eid exodus, particularly hybrid vehicle users.

Bridgestone Indonesia President Director Mukiat Sutikno stated that hybrid vehicles have greater weight compared to conventional vehicles and rely on a combination of petrol engines and electric motors. Therefore, tyre performance is crucial in determining energy efficiency, comfort, and safety.

There are at least four important points that hybrid vehicle users must consider before the 2026 Eid exodus, namely tyre condition, load capacity, alignment, and tyre pressure specifications.
