Bekasi (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded a vehicle volume increase of up to 202% for return trips to Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Road (MBZ) on H+3 of Eid, coinciding with Tuesday (24/3/2026).

“A very significant increase occurred in the traffic volume of vehicles passing through the MBZ Elevated Road section, particularly for return flows to Jakarta,” said JJC President Director Hendri Taufik in Bekasi on Wednesday.

His side recorded 64,573 vehicles monitored travelling to Jakarta, an increase of 202.53% compared to normal traffic of 21,344 vehicles.

This increase indicates the high volume of public return flows after the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday, with vehicle volume increases occurring throughout the session, from morning to night.

“This condition shows that traffic movement is still occurring in both directions, although traffic flow to Jakarta dominates,” he said.

Hendri advised road users to manage their travel time wisely to avoid potential traffic density during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah return period.

“Road users are expected to avoid times of high density potential, prepare their journeys well, and take advantage of the 30% toll discount on 26-27 March 2026 so that the journey remains smooth and comfortable,” he said.

He continued to advise road users passing through the MBZ Elevated Road section to always prioritise safety by ensuring the driver’s and vehicle’s condition is optimal and maintaining sufficient battery power or fuel.

Road users are also advised to anticipate potential weather changes, especially rain that can affect visibility and road surface conditions, so that the journey can proceed safely and comfortably until reaching the destination.

Drivers can access the latest information and traffic service requests on toll roads through Jasa Marga Group’s 24-hour call centre at number 133, Twitter @PTJASAMARGA, and the Travoy 4.5 application for iOS and Android users.
