Bekasi (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek recorded high return vehicle traffic heading towards Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Road (MBZ) up to H+6 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, coinciding with Friday (27/3/2026). “Similar to the traffic surge in the days prior during the return flow, vehicle volumes continue to show a significant increase up to H+6 of Eid,” said GM of Operations and Maintenance at PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, Desti Anggraeni, in Bekasi on Saturday. She stated that 44,213 vehicles were monitored heading towards Jakarta during the return flow on H+6 of Eid, representing an 82.87% increase compared to normal traffic conditions of 24,177 vehicles. On the other hand, vehicles leaving Jakarta were recorded at 25,730, a 17.16% decrease from normal traffic of 31,060 vehicles. This decline indicates that outbound vehicle movements from Jakarta are beginning to reduce as the mudik period ends. “This condition reflects that traffic flow on the MBZ Elevated Road is currently dominated by vehicles returning to Jakarta,” she said. The company continues to urge road users traversing the MBZ Elevated Road to always prioritise safety by ensuring the driver’s and vehicle’s condition is optimal, as well as maintaining sufficient battery power or fuel. Road users can access the latest information or request toll road traffic services through the Jasa Marga Group’s 24-hour call centre at 133, Twitter @PTJASAMARGA, and the Travoy 4.5 app for iOS and Android users.
