JAKARTA - Mobility of the return Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 traffic from the eastern Trans-Java regions towards Jakarta is still showing an increasing trend.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded 239,383 vehicles passing through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate during the Eid period from H to H+3, namely 21-24 March 2026.

This figure represents a significant increase of 108.44 per cent compared to the normal traffic volume of 114,843 vehicles.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the surge in return traffic is expected to continue.

“Meanwhile, based on traffic data from H-10 to H+3 (11-24 March 2026), a total of 415,448 vehicles were recorded from the eastern Trans-Java region, an increase of 6.45 per cent from the normal traffic of 390,288 vehicles,” said Ria, quoted from an official statement on Thursday (26/03/2026).

The high traffic volume indicates that the return flow movement is still ongoing and is expected to keep rising.

“In line with this situation, JTT along with the Police have implemented one-way traffic on a segment from KM 263 of the Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road to KM 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, and situational open-close one-way local from KM 425+800 of the Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, C to KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to maintain smooth vehicle flow and minimise potential congestion along the Trans-Java Toll Road sections,” explained Ria.

To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume, JTT has also prepared several strategies, including toll fee discounts.

JTT is providing alternative travel options that road users can utilise by reintroducing a 30 per cent toll discount for continuous journeys from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on 26 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 27 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB.

“This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, for vehicles heading to the eastern Trans-Java region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, 184,146 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 65.88 per cent compared to normal traffic of 111,011 vehicles.

Increases in vehicle volume also occurred on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.

In Central Java, vehicles leaving Semarang through the Kalikangkung Toll Gate totalled 163,113 vehicles, up 164.50 per cent from normal conditions. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Semarang reached 100,838 vehicles, an increase of 66.93 per cent.
