Return Traffic Decreases, One-Way on Cipali Toll Ends
CIREBON – The traffic engineering in the form of one-way on the Cipali Toll Road has officially ended at 17:50 WIB on Wednesday (25/3/2026). This follows the decrease in return traffic towards Jakarta as the Eid al-Fitr 2026 holiday concludes. Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, stated that the return to normal (two-way) traffic has been implemented on the Cipali Toll Road stretch. This application closes the series of one-way traffic engineering towards Jakarta from KM 263 (Pejagan-Pemalang) to KM 70 (Jakarta-Cikampek), which was implemented since Monday, 23 March 2026 at 17:08 WIB. Prior to this, preparatory steps such as sterilisation of the Cirebon-bound lane and rest areas had been carried out since 15:30 WIB. The implementation of traffic engineering is situational, following the discretion of the National Traffic Police Corps. Ardam mentioned that based on data from 00:00 to 17:00 WIB, traffic flow towards Jakarta was monitored as busy but smooth. Approximately 67,000 vehicles have passed through Cikopo towards Jakarta. “That number is 10 percent lower than the same period yesterday,” he said. Astra Tol Cipali also advises all road users to always prioritise safety and maintain safe distances between vehicles. Additionally, they are required to comply with instructions from on-site officers during the normalisation of traffic engineering.
