Return Passengers at Lebak Bulus Terminal Reach 2,485 People

Jakarta - A total of 2,485 passengers returned this year using intercity interprovincial (AKAP) bus services at Lebak Bulus Terminal in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. “This figure is the accumulation of arrivals from H+1 to H+8 after Eid using 298 AKAP buses,” said the Head of Lebak Bulus Terminal, Joni Budhi, in Jakarta on Monday. Joni assessed that this year’s return flow at Lebak Bulus Terminal has been relatively stable, with an average of 300 to 400 passengers arriving daily. During the peak end of the Eid holiday period, arriving passengers were dominated by those from regions relatively close to Jakarta, such as West Java and Central Java. Meanwhile, numbers from East Java to Sumatra were not very significant. According to him, with the end of the return flow period, all service posts at Lebak Bulus Terminal have been dismantled and tidied up by the respective related agencies. “We express our thanks to all parties who have cooperated in creating a safe and comfortable mudik and return flow at Lebak Bulus Terminal,” he said. He appreciated AKAP bus users for complying with the rules by boarding and alighting at the official terminal. Although, he said, a small portion of passengers were still found alighting outside the terminal area, this reflects that the level of public compliance is still quite good. “Lebak Bulus Terminal is now integrated with various public transportation modes. Thus, it increasingly facilitates passenger mobility,” he stated. The management of Lebak Bulus Terminal in South Jakarta urges Eid transport drivers for 2026 to prioritise safety during journeys when passenger numbers increase. The management of Lebak Bulus Terminal plans to carry out revitalisation of the terminal in 2027 to improve service quality and transportation integration.
