Return Flow for Eid 2026 in Tangerang Begins to Increase, Peak Predicted on 25 March
TANGERANG - The return flow for Eid 2026 in Tangerang Regency has begun to experience an increase since Tuesday (24/3/2026), as the end of the holiday and joint leave period approaches. The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of Tangerang Police Resort predicts that the surge in vehicle volume will peak on Wednesday (25/3/2026), coinciding with the resumption of work activities. “For the return flow, it is predicted on the 24th and 25th, marking the end of the joint holiday,” said the Head of the Traffic Engineering Unit of Satlantas Tangerang Police Resort, Iptu Asep Dedi Budiman, on Tuesday. Asep explained that the increase in vehicle traffic is occurring gradually as people begin returning to their workplaces, including private sector workers and civil servants (ASN). In addition, traffic engineering is being implemented to control the flow of vehicles entering Tangerang Regency, both via toll roads and arterial roads. “Anticipatory measures include establishing 12 security posts and service points for returnees. On the toll road, there are two service points at Km 43 and Km 45,” Asep said. For securing the return flow during this year’s Eid, Tangerang Police Resort is deploying 1,123 combined personnel in Operation Ketupat Maung 2026. Security is not only focused on return routes but also covers shopping centres and vital objects that could potentially cause crowds during the Eid holiday period.
