Retreat in Magelang: Ace Hasan Discusses the Strategic Role of DPRD Chairmen
Lemhannas Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily stated that DPRD chairmen have a highly strategic role in bridging regional interests with the national agenda. Ace said that DPRD chairmen play a key role in ensuring that policy formulation at the regional level aligns with the nation’s grand vision.
This was conveyed by Ace during the Indonesia-wide DPRD chairmen retreat in Magelang, Central Java, on Saturday (18/4/2026). The event was attended directly by President Prabowo Subianto and members of the Merah Putih Cabinet.
The theme of the event is to strengthen the role of provincial, regency, and city DPRD leaders in supporting Asta Cita towards Golden Indonesia 2045. Ace said the event was attended by 503 DPRD chairmen from various provinces, regencies, and cities across Indonesia.
“DPRD chairmen have a strategic and fundamental role in ensuring the policy-making process at the regional level aligns with the nation’s grand vision under the leadership of President Prabowo,” said Ace.
“As representatives of the people at the regional level, DPRD chairmen hold a key position in bridging regional interests with the national agenda, guiding policy formulation, and ensuring the effective, accountable, and equitable implementation of national development,” he added.
Ace said the retreat aims to form regional leaders with statesmanlike character and integrity. In addition, he said, the retreat’s goal is to enable them to understand the Asta Cita vision in regional planning.
“Thirdly, to build cooperation and collaboration in realising good governance,” he stated.
He said that during the event, participants received materials on strengthening national values, geopolitics, national resilience, and national leadership. He said the speakers at the event were ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet.
“We express our thanks to the ministers and institutional leaders who have kindly attended and delivered materials directly at this event,” he concluded.
