Retaliation Against America, IRGC: Iranian Cruise Missiles Strike Pro-Zionist Cargo Ship

The Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has attacked the giant cargo ship MSC Sariska, which is affiliated with Zionist-American interests. The cargo ship was struck by a cruise missile in a retaliatory operation following US attacks on Iranian commercial vessels in the Oman Sea.

The IRGC Navy’s public relations department announced on Tuesday that the attack was a direct response to the aggressive assault on the Iranian cargo ship Lian Star and US military betrayal.

“In response to the aggressive attacks by the terrorist and child-killing US military against the Iranian ship Lian Star in the Oman Sea, the IRIC Navy conducted a retaliatory operation and attacked the MSC Sariska with cruise missiles,” the statement read, as reported by Sepah News and quoted by the Iranian media, Press TV.

The MSC Sariska, a Panama-flagged vessel, was targeted near Iraqi waters and experienced a large explosion. The IRGC Navy warned that further aggression by US forces in the region would be met with firm responses.

On Friday, a US aircraft fired AGM-114 Hellfire missiles into the engine room of the cargo ship Lian Star, disabling the vessel. The Lian Star was a commercial ship operating in international waters at the time it was targeted.
