Retail investors can now utilise artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse shares before making investment decisions. The technology helps simplify complex market data into more digestible analytical summaries. The feature is being introduced by PT Indo Premier Sekuritas (IPOT) through AI Analytics and Trade Flow. This technology is designed as an investment assistant that processes millions of market data points, ranging from financial reports and share price movements to foreign investor activity. President Director & CEO of PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, Moleonoto The, stated that retail investors have often been confronted with complex information, making it difficult to form a basis for investment decisions. “The AI Decision Engine, which we previously provided exclusively for large institutions, is now available for Indonesian retail investors. AI acts as a trading assistant that transforms millions of market data points into sharper, more precise, and objective investment decisions,” Moleonoto said in a written statement on Monday (29/6/2026). Through the AI Analytics feature, investors can obtain a summary of a share’s condition without having to study financial reports or various technical indicators separately. The AI system combines company fundamental data, technical analysis, news, and market conditions, then presents it in conclusions such as bullish, neutral, or bearish. Meanwhile, the Trade Flow feature helps investors monitor fund movements in the market, including the activity of foreign investors and major players (smart money). The AI then translates this information into more easily understood analysis so that investors can see the direction of market movements. According to Moleonoto, the use of AI is not intended to replace investor decisions, but rather to help accelerate the analysis process, reduce bias, and improve the quality of investment decision-making. “Artificial Intelligence should not only be used to report market conditions. AI must be used as a trading assistant to strengthen decisions, increase accuracy and precision, reduce bias, accelerate financial analysis, and strengthen investment protection,” he said. Currently, the AI Analytics and Trade Flow features can be used for free by all IPOT application users during the introductory period. The company hopes this technology can broaden retail investors’ access to analysis that has so far been mostly utilised by institutional investors and investment managers.
