If you love to climb mountains you will know Mount Gede and
Mount Pangrango. These two mountains are located in the National
Park managed by the Directorate General of Forest Protection and
Nature Conservation, Department of Forestry.

The entrance fee to the Park is Rp 2000 and the insurance fee
is Rp 2,500. There is a tropical forest and various animal
species and on the mountain slopes you can find beautiful
Eidelweiss flowers.

The easiest way to reach the peaks of Mount Gede and Pangrango
is through Cibodas Botanical Garden. Along the way there are a
number of rest cabins which are very useful for mountain
climbers. Unfortunately, many of the cabins are in a very poor
condition and can be dangerous to people who rest there. I call
on the management of the Park to look into the matter.
