Response to Residents' Input, Pramono to Review Rasuna Said CFD Timing

Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, will review the implementation time of Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) in the HR Rasuna Said area, Kuningan, South Jakarta.

According to him, this review is being conducted due to requests from the public who wish for their Sunday worship in the area not to be disturbed.

“The public’s enthusiasm is extraordinary. However, there are requests, particularly from places on Rasuna Said, apologies, for their worship,” said Pramono in East Jakarta on Monday (11/5).

“Their worship usually starts from 10 o’clock. Therefore, we have immediately decided that for Rasuna Said, the Car Free Day will still start at 5:30, but it will definitely end earlier than that,” he continued.

He also admitted to reviewing the CFD implementation time in the Sudirman-Thamrin area.

However, he has not yet decided on the new CFD time in that area. He assured that the new implementation time for CFD in the Sudirman-Thamrin area will be decided before 1 June 2026.

“For Sudirman-Thamrin, we will start at 5:30, ending at 10 or 9:30, we will decide soon before 1 June. But specifically for Rasuna Said, of course, I am considering input and suggestions from the public who will be worshipping on that day,” Pramono stated.

Previously, he mentioned that the CFD activity on Rasuna Said Street is the government’s effort to show that Jakarta is improving to have a new icon.

According to him, Rasuna Said Street, which previously had hundreds of abandoned monorail pillars, has now changed its face, especially after those pillars were demolished.

Pramono said that although construction on Rasuna Said Street is still ongoing, public enthusiasm is quite high, so the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is holding CFD activities and others in the area.

The CFD activity in Rasuna Said, he said, will be implemented effectively starting from 1 June 2026, after all work in the area is completed.
