Response to foreign language discourse: House of Representatives urges priority on teacher welfare

The House of Representatives (DPR RI) has urged the government to focus on improving teacher welfare before discussing the obligation to implement foreign languages in the school curriculum. Nevertheless, the DPR continues to permit the government to conduct studies and mapping regarding the instructions issued by President Prabowo Subianto. This was stated by the Vice Chairman of Commission X of the DPR RI, Lalu Hadrian Irfani, when met at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/6).
