Residents Welcome Passport Services at HI CFD: Assisting Busy Weekday Workers
One such resident is Dimas, 26, a Jakarta citizen who processed his passport at Bundaran HI during the CFD event. He explained that the CFD passport service makes the process convenient as it does not require scheduling during working hours.
“I happened to be registering on M-Paspor, and I checked all the available schedules. When I clicked on Sunday, I found the service was available here, and it was genuinely very helpful. Because on weekdays there are work commitments, so clearly I cannot go during working hours,” said Dimas, speaking after completing his passport application at Wisma KEIAI in Central Jakarta on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
Dimas noted that the Immigration Office service for passport processing at the CFD event was swift. He also described the documentation required for his passport renewal.
“The service is fast, especially for simple renewals. For my situation, I only needed my old passport and identity card—there were no complications whatsoever; it was straightforward,” he said.
Dimas explained that the availability of passport processing at the CFD event makes the service more accessible to the public. He said the Immigration Office’s decision to open this service at the CFD was appropriate.
“It is absolutely fitting. It broadens the target audience and widens the reach,” he said.
In addition to Dimas, there is also Mikaela, 22, a student from Sidoarjo, East Java, living in Jakarta. She plans to renew her passport as its validity will expire soon.
“My passport was issued in 2022 and will expire in 2027. However, if it reaches 2026, it will be quite tight if I want to travel anywhere. So I thought it was better to renew it now,” said Mikaela after processing her passport.
Mikaela learned about the passport processing service through social media X (Twitter). From there, she discovered the service was available during the CFD event.
“I saw it on Twitter because when I initially checked M-Paspor, all the regular appointment slots were fully booked. And I only then learned that the service was also available at the CFD event, so I registered for that,” she explained.
According to her, the availability of passport processing services at the CFD has made obtaining a passport much easier. She described her experience processing her passport.
“It is much simpler because I can queue using the M-Paspor application, then come here and register on arrival with my documents, and then I just wait to be called,” she said.
