Residents Urged Not to Panic Buy, LPG Stocks Secure Until Eid
The Tuban Regency Cooperative, Small and Medium Business, and Trade Services Department (Diskopumdag) has assured the public of safe LPG availability ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Residents have also been urged to avoid excessive purchases to ensure stable and equitable gas distribution throughout the region.
According to Gunadi, Head of Diskopumdag Tuban Regency, LPG supplies in Tuban Regency currently remain secure. This assurance came after field reports of several general stores experiencing stock shortages, though such incidents have been sporadic and isolated to specific locations.
These shortages were generally caused by high purchase volumes occurring simultaneously. “Even if some shops run out of stock, it only happens in a few places. Usually this is due to high usage volume or panic buying by the public,” Gunadi explained on Monday (16 March).
Nevertheless, the Tuban Regency Government continues to monitor and maintain intensive coordination with distributors and Pertamina to ensure smooth LPG distribution, particularly approaching Eid when public demand typically increases.
Gunadi added that should any information or difficulties arise regarding LPG availability in the field, his office will immediately coordinate with distributors and Pertamina to restore supply to normal levels. “If there is any information regarding distribution difficulties, we will immediately coordinate with distributors and Pertamina. Until now, God willing, gas availability remains secure until Eid,” he asserted.
Through this approach, the Tuban Regency Government hopes the public will remain calm and purchase LPG according to their needs, ensuring that supplies can be enjoyed equitably by all residents.
