A grave in Grinting Village, Bulakamba District, Brebes Regency, has been dug up twice by unknown individuals. Residents suspect the grave desecration was carried out to obtain shroud cords for use in deviant rituals.

The first excavation at the Grinting public cemetery (TPU) was discovered on Wednesday morning (24/6). Residents found the grave soil had been dug up, leaving a hole. The following day, Thursday (25/6), residents discovered a similar incident at the same grave. Locals believe the perpetrator of the grave robbery is the same person.

Wiryono (52), a local resident, stated on Thursday (25/6) that the first hole with excavation marks was found on Wednesday morning, and fresh digging marks were discovered again that day. He added that residents suspect the perpetrator intended to take the shroud cord, typically for use in deviant rituals.

When asked for confirmation, Bulakamba Police Chief AKP Afandi said his team is currently investigating the case. He noted the incident occurred overnight and was discovered that morning, and the matter is now under investigation.
