Residents resettled
PADANG, West Sumatra: A total of 319 people from the Taratak village in Lima Puluh Koto regency have been resettled at the Timpeh VII transmigration site in the Sawah Lunto regency.
The people are the residents of the village devastated by landslides a few months ago.
Lima Puluh Koto regent Aziz Haily told the people when he saw them off last weekend that they should adjust themselves to their new lives, Antara reported.
In addition to obtaining land for farming, the people will be entrusted to work at the oil palm plantations. (par)
