Residents Queue for Food Assistance at Cimayasari Village Hall in Subang

Hundreds of residents queued at the Cimayasari Village Office Hall in Cipeundeuy Subdistrict, Subang Regency, on Thursday (9/4). They arrived from early morning to obtain government food assistance in the form of rice and cooking oil.

Despite having to wait quite a long time, the community remained patient to receive the aid, which is considered very helpful for daily needs.

In this distribution, the aid was given to residents from five Neighbourhood Units (RW) with a total of around 1,114 beneficiary families (KPM). The determination of aid recipients was based on data from decile one to decile four, which are categories of society with the lowest welfare levels.

One of the aid recipients, Wulan, expressed gratitude for the assistance despite having to queue for hours. She said the food aid greatly helps alleviate her family’s economic burden.

“Alhamdulillah, it can add to our needs, especially after Eid when supplies have run out,” she explained.

The Head of Cimayasari Village, Arnalim Suryaningrat, explained that this distribution experienced changes compared to previous ones. This has resulted in an increase in the number of beneficiaries.

“For this distribution, there are indeed data changes, so the number of aid recipients is more than before,” he stated.

So far, the aid distribution process has run smoothly without significant obstacles. Field officers are also continuously striving to speed up services so that the queue can be cleared quickly.

According to Arnalim, this social assistance for the February to March 2026 period is the first distribution in 2026. The programme is expected to help the community meet basic needs, especially amid still challenging economic conditions.
