Residents Queue for 30kg Rice Aid, Crowding Distribution Sites Since Morning

The distribution of food aid is being carried out simultaneously to 33.4 million food aid recipients across Indonesia. The rice assistance for the period of July to September 2026 is being provided in a single instalment, totalling 30 kilograms per recipient.

This distribution is part of the government’s policy to strengthen social protection and maintain food price stability. Since early morning, residents have been seen crowding distribution sites to undergo the data verification process.

Residents are required to present their National Identity Card (KTP), the official aid invitation, and their Family Card (KK) before receiving the assistance. Once the verification process is complete, residents immediately receive the 30 kilograms of rice.

One resident, Heni Kurnia, expressed that the food aid programme has been immensely helpful, particularly for meeting daily needs. “Alhamdulillah, I am very helped by this programme,” she stated.

Similarly, 57-year-old Nasrudin noted that the food aid is highly beneficial for his family and will be used for daily consumption.

The distribution of food aid is also part of the government’s mandate to Bulog to distribute the Government Food Reserve (CPP). The programme is expected to ensure that the community has access to sufficient and high-quality staple foods.

In addition to helping meet the rice needs of recipient families, the food aid serves as one of the government’s instruments to strengthen social protection and maintain public purchasing power. The distribution is also directed towards supporting the stability of rice supply and prices.
