Residents panicked at a minimarket in Leuwiliang subdistrict, Bogor, West Java, after a Kurban cow suddenly entered and scattered merchandise. The incident occurred after the cow escaped while being unloaded from a transport vehicle.

“Initially, the cow was supposed to be unloaded at Masjid Al-Awalien,” said minimarket employee Faldi Faudzan Setiaji.

The event took place on Tuesday evening (26 May). The sacrificial cow was being transported to be stored in the mosque area.

However, during the unloading process, the cow suddenly panicked and jumped onto the road.

“As it was about to get down, the cow panicked and jumped across the road,” he explained.

The cow was later hit by a motorcyclist before running off and chasing a woman nearby.

Panicked, the woman took shelter inside the minimarket, where the cow followed and caused chaos, scattering merchandise.

“The woman was extremely panicked and entered Wargakhu minimarket; the cow then went berserk and ransacked the store,” he added.

The minimarket suffered an estimated loss of Rp 3 million, but the mosque has covered the damages.

“Alhamdulillah, the cow was secured by its handler,” he concluded.
